These sculptures by John Taylor are great.
They really are so much beyond mere models.
Beautifully detailed fantastical forms full of wonderful textures and color. What an inspiration.

I made it to Seattle for the opening at RoqLaRue.
I am my wife's husband , my kids' father, a guy who loves making stuff,
but felt more than a bit awkard talking about myself.
Even so I met and spoke with a number of kind and interesting people. They were very supportive and encouraging. I'm definately not "ArtStar" material. I think I would be happier doing the occasional group show at most. I also brought my camera but only took 1 photo of a cool flyer.
I am grateful to Shawn and Jessica for putting me up at their home, showing me around town and making it a really fun weekend.
